Pros

Great senior exposure and opportunity for experience

Cons

When joining the company I was full of excitement and hope to be part of something big happening and to get the opportunity to climb the career ladder fast in the promised ever growing unicorn environment. But unfortunately with every day I spent at Celonis I was more and more disappointed with realising that I was pushing a three leg donkey, that wasn’t going to move anywhere. No matter how much feedback I gave to the very inexperienced management (that just got lucky to become management because they were at the right place in the right time after university) they simply lacked the leadership skills, emotional intelligence and agility to adjust to business on a global scale. The company is managed by an inner circle of German managers, and if you’re expecting big opportunities and recognition for your work, you’ll have to leave and seek it somewhere else.

Pros

Celonis offers a strong mix of cutting-edge technology and real business impact. The company is at the forefront of process mining and execution management, which creates meaningful value for customers across industries. You get exposure to complex, high-visibility projects, and the people are generally smart, driven, and collaborative. There’s also solid opportunity for career growth, especially if you’re proactive and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

Cons

The pace can be intense, and expectations are high, which can lead to long hours at times. As the company continues to scale, there can be some internal complexity, shifting priorities, and occasional lack of clarity in roles or processes. Success often requires navigating ambiguity and being highly self-directed, which may not be the best fit for everyone.
