I can only speak to the CVA group.
- No clear path to progression, during recruiting I was told this was defined. I can now say this is not at all the case, I have zero idea what role or path I should take if I want to promote. I also have no one to speak with about it- mentor who?
- Disconnect, there is no culture that I am aware of, everyone is off in their own islands with zero opportunity to get to know one another. Directors run their ship and you don’t cross paths outside of bi-weekly stand ups that are more or less a dog and pony show rather than a team gathering. Zero attempts on bridging employees together beyond “do you have this type of use case??”
- Carryover: heavy recruitment from a specific consulting firm results in mini internal networks that are far from inclusive. Concept of collaboration and sharing are all lip service, you will be dealing with the piety show and tell individuals that don’t want to collaborate and play nice so they can look good in front of the boss.
-Leadership or lack there of, they are busy trying to get CVAs billable hours, which is fine but they fail to actually lead and promote any type of common goals or a shared vision.
-Communication style- I won’t speak for all leaders, but most interactions as a CVA group are more announcements than conversations, there is little to no engagement from the team- likely due to the feeling of a bunch of strangers that do not know one another feeling obligated to join meetings.
