Pros
This is a great people to get some good call center experience for their resume, and people do get a paycheck. They also have some health, dental, and life insurance benefits
Cons
I worked on the AT&T U-verse project in Wichita, KS when they started the project at the site. People from AT&T came to train us because we were the first group to start working on the project in Wichita. Some people came from the Wisconsin Convergys (now Concentrix) site to provide floor support. These people were knowledgeable. However, they left and were replaced by a chat support team that some of the agent called “chat frustration” because the people on this team were very unhelpful. It was easier to turn to coworkers or to a team lead if a person needed help. If we tried to get help from chat support, they would question us in manner that was very irritating and unhelpful. The questions they asked were the type of questions I wouldn’t need their help if I knew the answers to these questions which was why I was trying to get help in the first place.
