Pros

Access to weekly PD, but if you have clients you basically can’t join it There are some lovely supervisors, but you have to cherry-pick which ones because there are few You’ll bond with your coworkers over your misery

Cons

I have never felt so disrespected as when I worked for this company. To them, you are literally just another cog in the wheel. Working for this place affected my mental health so severely that I had to get intensive therapy that I couldn’t afford just to keep myself sane. If you speak up about your workload, management will gaslight you and say you’re just poor at time management and that working in the NDIS is hard The induction process was extremely rushed. There is little to no support even if they promise weekly supervision. Admin is virtually useless and will pass their jobs on to you. You are expected to manage admin tasks such as replying to emails, booking interpreters, and booking clients, etc while also planning for sessions and writing reports. This company is extremely dodgy with travel reimbursement. They charge clients for travel but don’t reimburse yours. When a colleague asked about this, we were told that it’s included in our salary. Extremely exploitative of new grads and international OTs who can’t say no.

Pros

Supportive supervisors (if you are lucky to have one, some ddnt) Some of the staff were actually supportive and I am thankful for them.

Cons

- Complex clients with little to no support - Bookings have no respect for your schedule, the promise of a “work-life-balance” is a facade. Prepare to handle clients and create reports outside working hours with no overtime. - Little to no compensation, especially with gas for travel even though they bill for it. - Non-sense KPIs - even worse non-billable admin tasks. you are expected to do billings, bookings, replying to emails while trying to schedule more clients to meet KPI. - They now try to tie international recruits with 10k AUD bond to keep them from quitting. - basically you will learn more on how to bill clients and make money for the compny more than how to become an effective therapist. - Your level of competence is based on how much money you are making for the company, not the quality. - work practices can lead to burnout. They say that they dont want you to work past working hours, but even other supervisors tell them otherwise. It is a recipie for constant burnout and mental health issues.
