Pros

One of the few companies where you find long term, long tenured employees (people with 30+ years). Good benefits and compensation. Great place to work for Network Engineers and Technicians. Work/Life balance is good. Culture is conducive to innovation (except for Atlanta/HQ positions). Challenging and rewarding work assignments.

Cons

Good ole boy network, meaning, it's very difficult to move up and around without having a good working relationship with hiring managers. Those who are adept in office politics move up, while subject matter experts do not. Silo'd workgroups. The end result is duplication of efforts between departments...happens too frequently. Random layoffs have been a reality for several years. They communicate to employees that layoffs are in the past, but yet they continue. Many good people have left. Senior management is far removed and disconnected. Underperforming middle and front line managers go unnoticed.
