Pros

There appear to be some good benefits for permanent staff. Possible some positives on other projects.

Cons

Working at BrightGen has been a frustrating experience due to several recurring issues within the organisation. One of the primary concerns is the pre-sales department's tendency to significantly underbid on projects to secure wins, placing unrealistic expectations on the delivery team. This approach results in the team being tasked with delivering the impossible, leading to immense pressure and stress from management. Furthermore, the lack of accountability within management exacerbates the problem, as they fail to address the unrealistic demands placed on the team. This, in turn, has contributed to a high turnover rate among team members, as the constant pressure becomes unsustainable. Another concerning aspect is the apparent mismatch between the skills and experience of certain individuals in key roles. It's evident that some employees lack the necessary expertise for their positions, which negatively impacts project outcomes and overall team performance. Additionally, there is a concerning lack of transparency and open communication within the company culture. Employees feel discouraged from raising issues or concerns, creating a toxic environment where problems go unaddressed and unresolved. The over-reliance on inexperienced graduates within the workforce results in subpar quality work that requires significant time and effort to rectify. This not only diminishes productivity but also adds unnecessary strain on the rest of the team. I would caution others against joining BrightGen.

Credera Response

We are sorry to hear your experience with us has been frustrating. Brightgen and Credera have been through a significant amount of change over the past few years and that can be quite hard. We have also had a difficult economic climate to navigate but are confident we will come out stronger on the other side. Our leadership team take full responsibility for the success or failures of the business and work hard to make sure that we understand where we need to improve processes, update our strategy, be more efficient and make good decisions for our people and clients. Your comment on the lack of transparency concerns me and we will look at this in more detail as it is important to us that all our employees feel able to raise issues and that we address concerns head on.
