Pros

I worked at DML for just under 4 years. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Supportive, flexible and encouraging. If you cared about your work and were trying your best you would receive the necessary support to be successful. Brand is strong so new business is very manageable. CEO regularly brings business into the company for consultants to deliver on. Holiday incentives. Opportunities globally for consultants.

Cons

Commission is paid once funds are received by the business rather than on start-date of candidate. Can lead to a long wait after successful placement.

Pros

Market leaders. I’ve been with the company for 5 years and have been treated with respect and motivation. It's a constant thread that quality supersedes quantity, you have the freedom to run a desk in your own way with guidance as and when necessary. There’s always the support when you put your hand up and if you have an idea, the leadership team will grab it with open arms and the CEO backs it 100%.. It’s sad to see that some people who didn’t succeed at Daniel Marks have chosen to use glassdoor to point the finger at the company that gave them every opportunity to shine on their own accord. Make your own mind up and meet the team, you won’t find a better bunch of people who offer so much freedom and flexibility, friendship and inclusion.

Cons

If you don't want someone breathing down your neck then you’ll fit in well although you have to be a self starter and self disciplined to embrace the flexibility and autonomy given.

Pros

Inclusive trips abroad if the company hit target, albeit...a tiny target compared to successful recruitment businesses. Dan is great, not a leader but knowledgeable of the agency world.

Cons

The business is more of a PR exercise. They love the sound of their own voice but actually don't have much of an idea how to run a profitable recruitment business. Commission structure is the worst in the industry and everyone has a different structure which must be a nightmare for the junior finance girl. The most complicated system in the industry and no one knows what they are being paid until their pay cheque arrives. Not many people billing. The leadership team is out of their depth and Friday wrap ups are cringe. They have a terrible culture, very clicky with some awful personalities.
