Pros
It is a good job title to put on your CV and the store manager was a very nice person, always willing to help...if he had time
Cons
Basically worked as a shop assistant as my department was highly understaffed and because of working towards a certain 'productivity' the department couldn't afford to employ another member of staff. This meant I worked 12hr days (no overtime pay) and spent my days off doing managerial aspects of the role i.e. timetables, forecasting etc as there was no time to do this in store. Very little training given, I had to rely on my staff to train me how to use the different systems in place. Bullying - I was bullied by a disgruntled member of staff who was annoyed that I was chosen for the job over her. She was not approached about it by her manager or the store manager. During the season changeovers you are expected to work during the night to prepare the store from summer sports to winter sports. I worked 11am Sun-6am Mon then was back in work for 10am Mon to work my shift.
