Pros

People are overall congenial in spite of the low moral in the NY office. Benefits are above average compared to most American companies.

Cons

Limited authority to do your job as everything is driven from Frankfurt. Too many people in Germany who are not producing (too heavily staffed there) but are kept on the payroll due to labor laws. Instead, people are being laid off in other countries without a clear plan as to what's coming next. Migrating jobs in India is done to cut cost, but just like other companies have realized, it ain't gonna work for very long. The goal is to move talent out of high cost areas, but really, where is the talent? Not in some godforsaken locations. So many issues have not been resolved for years that cutting costs just for the sake of cutting costs is going to exacerbate the situation with customers and regulators.
