Pros
This company continues to grow, adding staff more slowly than in the past. The company is definitely more focused on finding the right blend of personality and skills that best match the culture, rather than just filling seats.
The culture was defined in early 2014 and continues to mature. Current employees (25+) all embrace the current management team and appreciate the culture and core values.
Documented procedures were initiated in 2014 and continue to be refined as technologies change or more efficient solutions are realized.
Employees meet regularly (weekly or bi-weekly) with their immediate supervisor. In addition, regular quarterly employee evaluations have been implemented, which allows for better communication, aligning employee and manager expectations. True, sincere employee recognition takes place on a regular basis allowing employees to feel truly valued.
Management team receives regular training sessions, and additional training material is encouraged and provided company-wide for all employees. Employee's personal growth is embraced, encouraged and funded by the company.
Cons
Growth and change can be difficult and not everyone embraces change. Recognizing employees who did not fit our culture or change can also be a challenge and cause turnover.
