Pros

Real work for real companies, good for building experience. Opportunity to move up quickly, ironically as a result of the high turn over.

Cons

Several of EYEMAGINE's marketing claims are false. EYEMAGINE represents itself as a company staffed by "US based developers, award winning designers, & seasoned project managers", but in reality most the people working there are 20 and 30 something year olds with less than 3 years experience. Much of the work is outsourced to Indian developers and other random companies, and the core in house team is often left to clean up their mess. Instead of investing in building a cohesive team of talented people, EYEMAGINE prefers to hire the cheapest people possible, regardless of their personalities or english skills. On top of that everyone is measured by individual performance so team unity and efficiency are systematically disincentivized. The turn over is so high that usually less than 20% of the company has been there for more than a year, and about once a month someone gets hired, fired, or quits.

Our team of developers, designers, and project managers has a proven track record of success defined by customer satisfaction, awards and accolades, and business growth. The company has been operating since 2003 and continues to grow. The US based team continues to grow by hiring the most talented team members available. Our Inbound Marketing department has grown over 300% in the last year. Our developers have contributed to the enhancement of open source software projects, innovative online business transformation for our clients, and internal process improvement. Headquarters are in Irvine, CA and a team in Texas. To maximize the success of our Inbound Marketing results, we work with veteran copywriters with experience in varying business verticals. We set S.M.A.R.T. goals with each of our marketing accounts to transparently measure success the success of our campaigns and activities. EYEMAGINE encourages staff feedback through weekly one-on-one meetings with direct managers, online anonymous suggestion forms that are reviewed by the management team, and an open-door policy that encourages staff to approach any manager or the CEO with suggestions, complaints, or concerns. We conduct employee satisfaction surveys to gather feedback directly from the team. The level of falseness and inaccuracy in this review from a "current employee” is questionable.

Pros

I started with this company not knowing much about the platform they were using. They put in the time to train me and accelerate my career.

Cons

They don't pay competitive salaries. There's a general attitude to get things done in the quickest way possible. The result is a poor quality product and an unsatisfied client. Opportunities for growth aren't clear. The way projects are managed is a nightmare and leads to lots of stress. They are never scoped correctly. The CEO gets too excited about signing the deal/getting a check and doesn't take the time to consider if the project is actually good for the company. This leads to 2 or 3 times more work needing to be done than originally agreed upon with an already tight deadline. This creates discomfort for the developers, project managers, and the clients. Few clients stick around after the initial work is done. Some cut their losses and leave without anything being completed. There's a mass quitting/firing of employees about once year, 5 - 8 people total, so most of the time the team is made up of new, unfamiliar, inexperienced people. They preach their company values but they don't actually follow them.
