Pros

School breaks/days off (though you need to work a lot of summer), CEUs (relias) free

Cons

Benefits are garbage, pay isn't great, raises are laughable, having to work more than 40 hours a week due to paperwork and incident reports, high up staff does anything to back the school and contract versus the clinician, contract (they seem to lose a lot over last couple years) and then they can't keep you

Thank you for sharing your experiences with Effective School Solutions; we regret they fell short of expectations. At ESS, we regularly review practices, policies, and our competitive benefits and salary structure, including annual merit increases. We aim to provide a total rewards package that shares our commitment to our clinician employee base – we couldn’t do this important work without you and we want to recognize you for all that you do. We have an excellent track record of contract renewal with our district partnerships. These renewal rates largely reflect the consistent excellence of our dedicated clinicians. Unfortunately, at times, given new district priorities and funding challenges, partnerships may change in structure or conclude. In those cases, we collaborate closely with clinicians to secure alternative placements, prioritizing internal staff support for smooth transitions. Thank you again for your feedback and we wish you the best of luck in your future.

Pros

-Great work/life balance with school schedule -administration cares about their employees and listens to their needs by doing check ins and surveys, and they follow through. -networking and collaboration with other clinicians throughout different states -clinical supervision is available for hours -supervisors are extremely helpful and do not have issues getting in contact when an emergent need arises

Cons

I cannot think of any at this time.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for your thoughtful feedback. We’re so glad to hear that your role as a Lead Clinician has been rewarding. It’s wonderful to know that the work/life balance, accessible supervision, collaborative culture, and leadership support have made a positive impact. We’re especially glad that our check-ins and surveys feel meaningful and that you’ve seen follow-through on what matters most. Thank you for all that you do for your students and for being a valued part of the ESS team.

Pros

Decent pay and school schedule plus full time pay over the summer is definitely a pro. You get to make a difference.

Cons

It is a toxic work environment. Lack of communication. Lack of care for workers. Everything is for the numbers. Will do anything to protect and to save contracts at all cost even if it means sabotaging you. Many in supervision and RD positions fail to uphold obligations and undermine efforts. Not so good place to get hours for licensure.
