Pros

Decent salary and benefits (including free games, ice-cream, events and health insurance). EA Galway is the perfect place if you're young and you need or want to gain some experience in an international environment.

Cons

Don't expect to be heard and don't work too hard as you won't get any promotion no matter how good your stats are. If you want promotions or better benefits, just make friends with managers and become somebody's girlfriend / boyfriend. If you are the clown of the team you will have good chances to be promoted as well. Career development is the most frustrating thing in this place. People getting promotions don't really deserve them, whereas hard-working people with amazing stats don't get anything. At the end, all that frustration only makes you want to leave and the performance goes down as well. No communication from studios so you learn about new issues thanks to the customers. When the issue is resolved, then it's too late and you took a hundred calls already.

Pros

A lot of good and smart people that are able to create good work together.

Cons

Restructuring every year, nepotism, no clear path for career progression at all, senior leadership isn’t communicating clearly, acquisition communication has been non-existent, layoffs are a constant factor and fear, unclear why some people get promoted and many high performers do not
