Pros

If you are on the government contracts only 40/hrs a week.

Cons

The owner is awful and constantly lies. He tries to manipulate and guilt-trip employees into staying by claiming we're a family. He finally gave a raise after two years, but considering government contracts typically include escalations for the contracting company, it feels like the bare minimum. He and his wife seem more focused on maximizing profit from employees than their well-being. The 401k match is poor, and the health care benefits are expensive for the coverage they offer. The CEO makes empty promises of bonuses and other benefits, but never delivers. There's no clear path for career advancement, and expectations are unclear. The organization lacks a defined structure, and when you have complaints, his wife is HR, so they go nowhere.

Pros

You are part of a team assigned to implement a new software system for a client. The project timeline is tight, requiring you to travel to multiple client sites over consecutive weeks. Each location has different requirements, meetings, and deadlines, and the team must ensure everything runs smoothly without delays. The company provides full support: all travel and lodging arrangements are covered, transportation between sites is organized, and a dedicated coordinator ensures nothing falls through the cracks. Despite the intense schedule, the supportive management allows the team to focus on delivering high-quality work, handle client expectations effectively, and complete the project successfully.

Cons

Projects often require back-to-back travel, which can be tiring.Long hours during intense project periods

Pros

The only real positive was working alongside a few talented and hardworking teammates who genuinely cared about their work and supported each other despite the environment. The projects themselves had potential and offered some exposure to interesting emerging technology, but that’s where the positives stop.

Cons

Leadership constantly preached about being a “family,” but their actions proved the complete opposite. They scheduled a 5 PM meeting on a Friday with no agenda, leaving everyone panicked and assuming mass layoffs were coming. The CEO, a former military member, often spoke about values like honor, loyalty, and integrity, yet failed to uphold any of them. Employees were asked to sign agreements not to apply at competitor companies and were promised that if layoffs ever occurred, the company would provide resume and job search support. When layoffs happened, those promises disappeared overnight. There was zero communication, no support, and when I reached out directly for help, I received no response. The company only cares about money and optics, not people. The word “family” is just a slogan they use when it benefits them, and once you’re no longer useful, you’re forgotten instantly.
