Pros

Evidence Action offers a very supportive and intellectually stimulating working environment. The onboarding process was smooth, and the team was welcoming, responsive, and highly professional. I appreciated the transparent management style, strong mentorship, and opportunities to improve my skills in literature review, critical thinking, analytical writing, AI use, and global health program strategy. The office location and staff were also excellent.

Cons

I do not have major concerns. As with many fast-moving global health organizations, some projects require adapting quickly to evolving priorities and timelines, but this also created valuable learning opportunities.

Pros

Evidence Action is a mission-driven organization that genuinely lives its values. The work is meaningful, impact-focused, and grounded in data, which makes it especially rewarding to be part of the team. Leadership is thoughtful and accessible, and there is a strong culture of trust, collaboration, and respect across teams. People here are smart, humble, and deeply committed to doing good work without ego. I’ve also appreciated the organization’s openness to learning and improvement—there is a real willingness to invest in systems, processes, and people to support long-term sustainability. Work-life balance is generally respected, especially considering the global nature of the work.

Cons

As with many fast-growing, mission-driven organizations, some processes and systems are still evolving. This can occasionally mean ambiguity, shifting priorities, or heavier workloads during peak periods. Cross-functional coordination can sometimes take extra time due to the organization’s scale and distributed teams.

Thank you so much for the kind words! We're so glad the mission, culture, and people have resonated with you so early on. Your feedback on systems, cross-functional coordination, and change management transparency is well taken. These are areas we're actively investing in as we grow, and having perspectives like yours helps us stay accountable to continuously iterate and build. As Danielle wraps up her 90-day listening tour, one theme has come through clearly: people do their best work when they know who is doing what and by when. We're committed to building that kind of clarity at every level and we encourage everyone to ask for it when it's missing. Danielle and the GLT are holding themselves to the same standard. We're thrilled to have you with us and look forward to creating lasting impact together. - Evidence Action's People and Culture Team

Pros

A genuinely unique, evidence-first value proposition in the sector (positioned where many peers are heading). Strong, mission-driven culture rooted in real values. Fresh leadership perspective and a solid, well-designed process for developing new programs.

Cons

The matrixed structure creates real coordination friction, and organizational power sits unevenly across teams. Decision-making can be slow and consensus-heavy, with unclear ownership.
