A collaborative environment where folks are really trying to help each other get to their goals rather than become hurdles. F5' TMOS is a versatile, extensible, programmable platform that makes development fun. An efficient Eng. Ops team that is very responsive. Finally, a lean management architecture that enables each individual to have a say in a product's development cycle.
Cons
F5' presence/awareness in Silicon Valley needs to be bettered so that they are able to attract more senior talent. Some of the newer development areas have a relatively younger (in terms of experience) team.
