Pros
The culture at MatchPint is fantastic. There is real commitment to developing team members, whether through structured sessions, informal catch ups, or regular feedback offered by teammates as part of the company's "Radically Candid" culture (made famous by Kim Scott).
There is a real sense of ambition. Rather than settling for good performance in a niche single market industry, the company is eyeing rapid international growth and fast product diversification over the next 2 years. You can sense that MatchPint is on the cusp of something special every time you enter the office.
I have never worked in a company where 'transparency' is so obviously demonstrated. The founders and management team don't only answer difficult questions, but actively encourage them to be asked in whole company meetings.
Finally, while a lot of start ups talk about a 'family culture' where everyone is a friend first and a colleague second, MatchPint truly lives up to this. It's a great place to work.
Cons
For some, the emphasis on sports-chat may be overwhelming (though it doesn't seem to bother the CTO too much). Although the company is developing scalable processes, those from a big business background may feel uncomfortable with how much process is effectively 'on the fly'. Salary and benefits vs. market rates depend on role so some will feel like the packages are great, others may feel they're a little on the low side (if the package is what you're after).
