Pros

Depending on projects, you may spend most of your time working from home which the majority of people enjoy. The company are flexible (for the moment at least) on remote working. It is their main selling point.

Cons

New joiners beware- recruiters are still stating that factor provide employees with a 10% bonus each year. This has not been the case for the past 3 years. In a predictable fashion, Factor have now delayed ‘bonus announcements’ several times this year. Despite promising an update on specific dates, this was not followed through and the year end bonus announcement has now been pushed out until April. Presumably to avoid employee uproar before year end? The company has gone downhill massively in recent years and certainly from the Axiom days. Lack of communication (or cowardly avoidance of delivering bad news), poor salary compared to market peers and poor bonus structure make one question the future of this company. Employees are vocal about these problems but despite empty promises, there have been no steps to resolve this. The manner in which the redundancies were handled and communication surrounding this was extremely poor. However 18 months down the line is it apparent nothing has changed.

Pros

Factor is run professionally and treats its contract employees respectfully. They have embraced quality of work and rejected the hyper speed, burnout, boiler room business model utilized by some competitors.

Cons

Most hiring is now in Poland.
