Not the company it once was

Pros

Depending on projects, you may spend most of your time working from home which the majority of people enjoy. The company are flexible (for the moment at least) on remote working. It is their main selling point.

Cons

New joiners beware- recruiters are still stating that factor provide employees with a 10% bonus each year. This has not been the case for the past 3 years. In a predictable fashion, Factor have now delayed ‘bonus announcements’ several times this year. Despite promising an update on specific dates, this was not followed through and the year end bonus announcement has now been pushed out until April. Presumably to avoid employee uproar before year end? The company has gone downhill massively in recent years and certainly from the Axiom days. Lack of communication (or cowardly avoidance of delivering bad news), poor salary compared to market peers and poor bonus structure make one question the future of this company. Employees are vocal about these problems but despite empty promises, there have been no steps to resolve this. The manner in which the redundancies were handled and communication surrounding this was extremely poor. However 18 months down the line is it apparent nothing has changed.

Pros

It used to be a wonderful collaborative environment, with friendly people and open doors to good opportunities. The work life balance can be excellent on some teams.

Cons

The management has decimated the business with redundancies, cutting the HR team down so severely that major personnel issues are occuring. The "bro" culture of promoting bullish and often openly misogynistic men has damaged the core of the business and driven droves of female talent elsewhere. Paths to promotion are very unclear, with all comp increases and promotions being a begging ritual for the majority of earnest and hardworking staff. The gendered pay and promotion disparity is quite shocking. Furthermore, this is not a company to be a good technical lawyer. It is a company for aspiring managers who want to be responsible for a low cost base team in Poland.

Pros

Was a sense of community and somewhere to be excited about working for. No longer the case. 10% of staff laid off and the remainder of us now feel overworked and feel some sense of responsibility for our colleagues demise.

Cons

CEO and leadership team lack accountability and seem to avoid transparency of decision making. Including lying on global calls about possibility of layoffs when they seem to have already been in progress. Future looks bleak for this firm.
