Business outlook
Pros
Generally independent work, driving a company delivery truck and meeting customers through out the day. There are clear standards and expectations of efficiency especially in the number of deliveries per hour, time between departing the warehouse and one's first delivery, etc.
Cons
A new courier is limited to only part-time hours. It takes a few years, and only when senior couriers retire or move up, for full-time slots to become available. In addition, even with a part-time schedule, sometimes it is difficult to get a second occupation because the length of a work day depends on several factors: personal delivery times, when a shipment of packages from the airport arrives, logistical issues at HQ, etc.
