Pros

Great job to learn valuable computer skills. (When I was employed) Great healthcare. Great employees whose talents are cut short by corporate smothering.

Cons

Short story time. I had been with the company six years at this point. Worked my way from "greeter" to center manager. I was verbally warned (During an audit by my DM) when not trying to up-sell a customer on the "product of the month"(a ream of paper). When I explained that the customer was a grieving widow, in making funeral cards for her husband, he said "doesn't matter". Wow! That pretty much sums it up. Rather than listening and focusing on customer needs! they rather you TELL the customer what they need. Managers are stuck in the office filling out endless metric reports and audits. Wasting hours on mindless conference calls and emails. Sending employees off to inept roll playing trainings. I beg you. Return this company to its former self! LISTEN to your customers and stop forcing employees at the store level to focus on useless metrics and up selling. THEY DONT CARE about things like monthly audit and sales goals. They want to do their job and make customers happy. Simple. Let them do that and you will consistently see sales goals being met.

Pros

Have a Strong staff and great customers -for the most part. Don't see my boss but 1-2 month.

Cons

The corp fluff to accomplish something. Setting all these goals and targets then forget about 90% until it's time to do the yearly "anonymous" survey. Then you see which stores had how many surveys done. 🙄 Keep it short and sweet it would be more effective. Have outstanding customer service but don't do anything personal in your store to recognize your customers. Be different but don't show it 😂 Working for Amazon now with no more pay. It benefits the store not us in our paychecks. At times unrealistic expectations with a high volume store and a staff of 4-5.
