You MUST understand that this is a call center job, however. As such, your job is to take X number of phone calls each and every day, day in and day out.

What used to be all about the customer experience has, over the past few years, heavily diverted into a metric-based environment. This leaves associates "kicking the can" down the road to the next associate who can help better, leading to a terrible customer experience, simply because associates are watching out for their KPIs. Poor KPI results will result in heavy-handed "coaching" sessions and absurd amounts of micromanagement.
