Pros
The sheer size and volume of their inventory is impressive, which gives those who are interested a good chance to learn a lot about firearms, ammunition, and accessories. Most of the supervisors are pretty good at their jobs, when they are not being walked on by the owners.
Cons
The downsides are plentiful - ownership of this company makes a lot of very poor decisions and harbors a genuine distrust for employees. There is no inventory tracking system for most things in the store, and when things go missing it is taken out on all the employees in the form of policy changes which come on suddenly and are usually forgotten or disregarded two weeks later. Turnover is very, very high here, and there is no training program whatsoever aside from being encouraged to ask questions when you don't know what a product or policy is. Of course, policy changes rapidly and with no widespread notice whatsoever. Pay in relation to responsibilities is very low, and there is seldom even a thank you for going above and beyond to accomplish a task or better the reputation of this company. The best way to last at G.A.T. is to be mediocre and not noticed at all.
