Pros
Co-workers are friendly and quick to help new employees learn the dairy side of the business and understand the do's and don'ts.
Cons
Upper management is a major issue in the Saint Louis location. Management does not truly understand the customer base or products they sell so coaching to improve sales numbers is uneffective. They spend more time micromanaging employees and informing us how we need to increase sales and how far behind we are then actually suggesting ways to improve or what could be done differently. Extreme lack of advancement opportunities. You are either a worker bee or a manager drone and opportunities only occur if a manager leaves. Due to the fact they keep poor managers or shuffle them from one division to the other in the several years of employment I have never seen very many opportunities occur. If they have, compensation for these "supervisor or manager" roles is demoralizing as they continue to year after year lower starting salaries. Benefits such as medical, dental, or vision are higher than typical companies and due to a shade of gray in the in an out networks the insurance company they use typically is more negative than positive.
