Pros
Throws you into the business world. Gain experience for your resume. Ability to learn about different makes and models of vehicles. Some great coworkers (if any are in the branch) to work with.
Cons
Just recently the company implemented a policy where commissions are stripped away and replaced with the fear of being terminated if you do not hit their insurance sales goals. It is ridiculous that this policy was enforced, good talented sales people are leaving because of this. Branches are severely understaffed. Half of my tenure I was working by myself when our rental demand was very high. This just lead to service failures, long wait times, and unanswered phone calls. Long hours. 11 hours a day Monday through Friday and 4 hours on Saturday. Because of staffing issues there is no lunch break. The pay is to low for the amount of your workload. 11.00 an hour for your responsibilities is not fair. Also the bonus structures change before you get paid out resulting in hundreds of dollars you are cheated out of. Incompetent Area and General managers are not of sync with your local branch operation. All they do is email you daily threatening your job. Very depressing.
