Highgate has ruined the hospitality industry. Highgate doesn’t care about their employees especially managers. They expect you to work between 12 to 15 hours or more daily. You always need to be available for them. You have no work/life balance. It doesn’t matter how many hours or how hard you work for them Executive managers are never happy or it isn’t never enough for them. HR will sell you a dream and when you start working for them, everything is different than what they pictured you. They are always looking for managers because nobody can work for them for long. All highgate properties are the same stay away from all of them. It doesn’t matter the city or country. Highgate is a poison to the industry. Department heads are hire due to connections. Most of them don’t know what they are doing. Team members are not held accountable for their mistakes, they make twice the salary of a manager and they don’t do anything, but mistakes. HR is none existent, at least for managers support. They are only available for union team members. They never support managers. If I could go back in time and not accept their job offer I would do it without any hesitation. Do yourself a favor that you will never regret, DO NOT WORK FOR HIGHGATE HOTELS! Take a moment and think about why most of the job postings are from Highgate, why so many employees quit? Highgate is the worst management company ever.

Not applicable , the company’s bad reputation is not just rumors

This company has absolutely no flexibility for employee requests however you are expected to work 7 days a week , 15-18 hour days. Medical restrictions and disabilities don’t mean anything. No compromise on their part. No recognition, No compensation, No mental health support … They will burn you out, not care how their workplace tactics affect you or your work moving forward. They will then set you up to fail then use it as a reason to start the process of getting rid of you. No empathy for people. They refuse to accommodate requests for certain people but then others, no problem. Discrimination & Favoritism, I have never met a group with such evil intentions. All their claims about employees first are farthest from the truth. They only follow policies when it is convenient for them and depending on who it’s for. It’s all about who you know , not what you know Bottom line - the company is a total scam. The less you do the better. The excuses and practices for over compensating upper management is a joke.
