Pros
I can't say enough about the amazing people I get to work with, both as peers and from a leadership perspective. Even though this is not an easy job by any means, I have autonomy and tools necessary to manage my territory, manage relationships with partners, and to assist clients. Flexibility (remote first) is also a big win. I feel like I have clear and attainable targets, with great compensation (+ amazing incentive pay) and opportunities for advancement. Best job I have ever had and best company I have ever worked for. Even when things outside of my control (territory, seasonality, economy, legislation) have made targets difficult to achieve, I have had the support to accomplish what I need to. Another note on the leadership team. We have direct access to executive level leadership (AVP, EVP, C-Level) who aren't afraid to get in the mix with us . Which I feel is rare in a company of our size. It's also amazing to have direct leadership that doesn't feel threatened when we reach out to their leaders, in fact most encourage it. I engage with my CRO on a quarterly basis (at minimum) to assist with bringing on key partnerships, and going deeper on existing ones. My AVP I engage with 1:1 at least monthly, and my RD daily. The level of access makes me feel valued, respoected and supported. I'm also proud of the work I do and my personal values align with the company values and mission.
Cons
If I'm being REALLY PICKY, I think geography should be taken into more consideration for expense accounts and base salary - but OTE is not only achievable, its easy to exceed and make up for it with performance.
