Pros
Co-workers that I enjoyed working with, working remotely,
Cons
My manager had her favorites and protected those people, to the detriment of the team as we had to constantly adapt to the manager not knowing how to utilize their team to handle different projects. We were all over the place without any real focus. I was expecting a lot more stability with the team I was hired to and was disappointed, The manager struggled with the constant change. Also, due to poor staff planning, they clearly overhired for my role and I ended up getting laid off as a result, of course without any notice. Even though my manager had literally just told me the week before I was doing a great job and she was excited for my future at the company. LOL! But ultimately, getting laid off turned out to be a huge positive as I got a much better role for a lot more money, much better benefits and I'm still working remotely. So thank you for laying me off! The grass is always better on the other side.
