Pros
Hyatt Regency SLC has some great heath insurance benefits and decent pay for the area. Other non manager coworkers are also extremely friendly and helpful to one another and interdepartmental communication is great. The benefits here in general are always very good.
Cons
Most positions at this hotel in the front of house have zero work life balance. Most senior managers in these departments believe that everyone should be on call 24/7 and should be willing to work whenever and wherever they are needed. It was commonplace for people to work 7-8 day stretches with zero overtime pay due to scheduling practices. This was on top of having split days off and only being allowed to take vacations during the slowest parts of the year. Many employees were forced to use sick days and PTO days simply to get breaks from the schedule being so intense all the time and burnout was common even amongst managers and leaders.
