Pros

Some seriously talented people work there.

Cons

Hyland just let go of dozens of talented individuals in the product delivery department. But I would have given them one start even before that. Their job structure, aside from being way outside of industry standards, has changed three times in the six years I've been there, to the point where I wouldn't have known how to get a raise even if they recognized that I deserved one, which the didn't. They also underpay fairly drastically for the amount of experience and expertise a person has. The benefits are underwhelming. And the cliques can get pretty intense. Now that they don't have all their employees in their big, flashy corporate campus, it's easier to see the real company and what they represent, and who they represent (the investors). They even axed the holiday party a few years ago.

Pros

Remote or hybrid capability. Usually a flexible schedule.

Cons

Constant quiet firing. They've figured out how to avoid public disclosures quite well. Every month they're whacking batches of 20~30 employees - esp. if you were in a higher pay band or part of an acquired company. There's constant leadership churn as of late - not that leadership was ever that great, but the clownshow has more makeup on the pigs now. If you were part of an acquired company, the stench of nepotism was constant. Hyland doesn't provide legitimate training or certification assistance for everyone. Their products would fail any sort of security scan by an AI tool too. If you're a customer, buyer beware.
