Pros

Day to day IC workers on the team I was on were some of the most collaborative and helpful people I have ever worked with. They truly helped this job not be a complete nightmare. WFH and fairly flexible hours You get to know what the weather is in other parts of the world constantly, because that’s what at least 15 mins of every meeting with leadership is about.

Cons

No career development or growth opportunities unless you are in the in crowd (drinking buddies with the leadership team). The leadership team hardly knows anything about the technology, thinks they are the target user without understanding the customer, and won’t listen to anyone who doesn’t agree with their assumptions. The design team is completely forgotten about. For a company whose messaging and value are easier to use ML tech, the talent drain on the UX team was massive and there is no support or recognition for the team at all. You are told to smile and endure more, and then get chastised for not being toxically positive.

Pros

Hyperscience is a true leader in the Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) space, utilizing genuinely cutting-edge AI and ML models to create a product demonstrably superior to its competitors. Beyond the technology, the work environment offers significant flexibility and trust: there is very little micromanagement, allowing employees to maintain a positive work-life balance and manage their own workflow.

Cons

The company is currently in a high-intensity growth mode, which translates at times into a demanding and ambiguous environment. While the high degree of flexibility is a major pro, the flip side is the expectation that every employee must be a true owner, proactively driving their own work without constant supervision.

Pros

Pays well. Great front line employees. Decent Benefits

Cons

Terrible Leadership that doesn't listen or seem to care. Their arrogance is so surprising in that they don't care about anyones opinion or seem to worry about the mass exodus of employees and legacy knowledge fleeing the company. They've had multiple rounds of layoffs with little to no communication or plan. Definitely do your homework before considering going here. They've let go a large number of employees but never backfilled and expects everyone to do work outside of what they were hired for. They keep combining roles with no consideration of workload or work life balance. They've taken do more with less way to far to the point people are leaving.
