IMEC is a great environment to learn in for college students. I was able to explore a number of different technologies in a low-stress environment while focusing on school.

Pay could be a bit better.

IMEC's mission is to be the catalyst for improving the STATE of manufacturing in Illinois. What a great mission. Today I get to work with experts in their fields and I get to see the impacts they generate for manufacturers. I am hosted by a university. 5 weeks of vacation and a pension plan are rare today. Work-life balance is tremendous.

Challenges of the job are often external and include ever changing priorities and guidance from US Commerce.
