Pros

I was recruited within a week and offered a job with only one interview. The pay was really good than my previous job.

Cons

Where do I start. The project I was assigned was in utter chaos. The project managers treat their coworkers really bad with namecalling. I was rushed into work without any proper knowledge transition. Nobody has time for team collaboration. There were no processes based on SAFe. I worked many overnight stays and weekend to figure out things. The PM expect you to know everything as if you have developed all of the project. They put you in front of the client as if you are the expert even though you just joined the project. In the end, I had to leave as this work culture was unsustainable for me. Lack of empathy from managers. No team work, everybody was working to save their own plate. Most of the Project managers are deputed from India. They lack business etiquette. They treat their employees really bad. Work on training your PM before assigning them a project in the US.

Pros

Job stability – Infosys is known for long-term employment and steady projects. Strong brand value – Having Infosys on your resume adds credibility and global recognition. Good learning opportunities – Access to internal learning platforms, certifications, and training programs (especially for freshers). Global exposure – Opportunities to work with international clients and global delivery teams. Structured processes – Well-defined policies, documentation, and governance. Work-life balance (project dependent) – Many teams offer reasonable working hours. Employee benefits – Health insurance, paid leaves, and wellness initiatives. Safe and inclusive workplace – Strong focus on ethics, compliance, and diversity.

Cons

Salary growth can be slow – Compensation increments may be lower compared to market standards. Limited flexibility in role changes – Internal mobility and project switches can take time. Bureaucratic processes – Decision-making can be slow due to multiple approval layers. Project allocation delays – Bench time and delayed onboarding to projects can happen. Variable learning exposure – Skill growth depends heavily on the project assigned. Less innovation in some teams – Certain projects may use legacy technologies. Onsite opportunities are limited – Compared to earlier years, onsite roles are fewer. Performance appraisal transparency – Rating systems may feel rigid or unclear.
