Pros

Kemper acquired Infinity, which had a ton of great people. The few of them that are still here are the only reason I haven't left.

Cons

Upper management doesn't care about IT, and their business decisions are bankrupting the future of the company. The CTO told our entire IT staff "if you want to write code, go work somewhere else." The benefits are mediocre, raises and promotions are strategically delayed so you never get them, and everyone is overworked. Upper management "requires" overtime but don't pay you for it.

Cons

High caseloads and demanding workloads can make it challenging to maintain work life balance. The job can be stressful at times due to deadlines, customer expectations, and the volume of claims.
