If you have any desire to develop your career in the engineering or technical field this is not the place for you. I worked for many years here with accolades and awards but no promotions or internal hiring.
They seem to only want to develop managers. Though managers from what I've seen are too ill equipped or degrade overtime due to stress and overworking. This eventually leads to a negative atmosphere in the work place. Many of the managers also enjoy "flexing" their authority over you and will treat you as tools for their work. Praise you when you do well but throw you under the bus when an issue comes up.
They don't value your education or desire for career growth and are perfectly content with letting you sit in the same position despite voicing the desire to advance. Many engineers came through as technicians to get their field work experience but most left due to Kleinfelder's lack of interest in promoting them. Can't keep on hiring educated people and expect them to be content with uneducated work.
Turnover rate is understandably high. They also don't pay enough to stay competitive with comparable companies.
