Working at Liberty Mutual was not a good experience for me. - Sales Representative Liberty Mutual Insurance Employee Review

Pros

The best thing about this company is that they offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. I recommend that you schmooze the right people (upper management) if you want to stay over 2 years in this position. It is tough for women, I was the only woman in my region for awhile and then when they did hire another woman she left after a few months.

Cons

Unrealistic goals for new agents. The company is very political. A large percentage of my training class was let go by year 2. Once you get to the point that you will start receiving residuals from the policies you have sold, they let you go.

Pros

Highly competitive compensation, generous annual bonuses, and excellent bonuses such as 401(k) matching and annual credits, tuition reimbursement, childcare support, affordable healthcare, vision, dental, and additional unique benefits for all stages of life and discounts for fun things like shopping and products that may be of desire!

Cons

It is a competitive place for high performers, but it is motivating and not intimidating in my opinion!

Pros

Diverse culture, work life balance, flexibility

Cons

They go through layoff regularly. Lay offs are massive, whole organizations at a time. They have multiple waves a year. I’m not sure how anything gets accomplished from so much firing and hiring and moving. Whoever’s left takes the burden and realizes they’re next. It’s bad for motivation and productivity.
