Pros
flexibility in working from home
Cons
Below market pay and benefits. Poor organizational structure and no attempts at a quality infrastructure have employees living in 2010. At Lionbridge, 'data' is a four-letter word. Underwhelming leadership and a lack of corporate vision. You would think that going private would allow for innovation and investment but unfortunately, the new owners hired a CEO who doesn't know how to get the job done. The typical business school pedestrian, he has very little industry knowledge other than anecdotes used to make you think otherwise. He says he wants a company that provides a good user experience but, by word and action, shows he hasn't done his reading as has no intention of hiring someone who has. He asks his employee'd how to run the company to churn out quick wins without making any substantial change. It took him a year to do anything at all.
