Pros

The people is the one thing Reach has going for it. Always ready to work hard but keep a sense of humour. Most are very friendly and helpful and ready to support you no matter what.

Cons

I have never worked at a company where people partner management never speaks to the people in it. Advice for sexual harassment and discrimination issues leads to suggestions of "conflict resolution training". Completely oblivious and callous to staff needs and requirements despite multiple requests to improve. Massive constant turnover across all teams. Leads to overworked, under resourced and underpaid staff that use Reach to improve skills (thankfully most people are good at their jobs) and leave on to bigger and better things within a year of being hired. Software is buggy and outdated.

ReachLocal prides itself in providing a rewarding and supportive environment, where people thrive and are encouraged to be the best they can be with tools, resources and world class products at their finger tips. Our HR and leadership team are very supportive and approachable, and work tirelessly to ensure we provide a great place to work. We have record numbers of high performing ex-employees returning to ReachLocal within 6 months of leaving, which demonstrates our safe, supportive, and award winning organisation that people want to work for. Over the last 3 years, we have promoted over 30 high performing team members demonstrating our joint HR and leadership commitment and investment into the continued growth and development of our people. Any claims of harassment or discrimination would be proactively investigated through to resolution if / as appropriate. Feedback is always valuable no matter where we find it, and we strive to provide a positive workplace for our people and make ReachLocal a great place to work.

Pros

Typically sales calls are virtual. Everyone is friendly and I was never micromanaged.

Cons

When you start here, it is difficult to learn due to most everyone working remote. You can't reach over to someone in the next cube/office and ask for help.

Pros

Direct managers really try and seem to care. Flexibility of work from home and PTO is the main benefits here.

Cons

Workloads continue to increase, changes passed down from the top of those that never talk to clients. There have been lots of changes recently. Most are not thought out and issues are NEVER ironed out before implementing. Upper-level management is completely disconnected from reality. Pay is on the low side. Struggling to pay bills on your salary? Jason Taylor(Chief Revenue Officer) suggests a second job or leaving. Annual pay increases? Particularly when the cost of everything has skyrocketed…. Nope. They don’t believe in pay increases.
