Pros
Flexible working, mostly friendly team with a nice atmosphere, freedom to wear own clothes, occasional opportunities to attend external events or training sessions.
Cons
Pressure to adopt a particular customer service style which could come across as pushy, limited opportunities for growth and development, requirement to work late evenings for stock takes/merchandising nights/parties, lack of freedom to make choices about what we did in our own store - i.e. sometimes we would have to host events that we knew our customers wouldn’t want to pay to attend which would be a waste of time and resources, but also a lack of support from senior management when needed, so there was quite a bizarre balance between when senior management would be involved in the store and when they wouldn’t.
