Pros

1st time (Meadowhall): - 50% staff discount - a lot of training so you know what to do - good location - decent clients 2nd time (Nottingham): - same as above but also: - a lot of space for staff in the staff area - management staff cared for us all and was understanding of any issues

Cons

Meadowhall: - obvious favouritism. Not to mention nepotism! Hired about 2-3 family members. - controlling management staff who gave me anxieties - I was watched and my conversations with customers were listened to. - poor communication between management staff resulting in me being unsure what is right and wrong anymore as they all wanted different things. One day dancing and signing is ok, another it is not- make up your mind! - I was a temp and they would be keeping some of us on for permanent positions - this made employees competitive and tense in my opinion, especially because of the earlier mentioned favouritism. - SO MUCH focus on giving great customer service that it made me feel anxious. Nottingham: - Nothing particularly wrong there in all honesty... - Except that I had to work when I was all ill and snotty... was not very attractive. But they eventually just let me go work in the stock room at least, where I would not be putting off customers with my snot.

Discounts, we got 50% off of most items

Cons

Unhygienic, stressful, money hungry, fear monger. Unprofessional managers both as an employee and customer. Never experienced such low life conditions, manager brought in animal multiple times in store, and made staff clean its pee. Customers were floored, inexcusable and HR is unresponsive. The bathroom is disgusting, and inaccessible. I cannot imagine any one with a physical disability being able to use the restroom. It was so difficult to suck in your stomach, then trip on box after box. They BLOCK the fridge and made us put our food in our tiny lockers. Manager is too comfortable with the amount of time spent within the company to ever fear facing any consequences or repercussions. Even fired staff in the past for contacting HR for help.
