Pros
- Health benefits are available to all employees. - You will always know the right time to buy something. More access to Sale and Clearance items if you are around and have time.
Cons
- There are many women in management that are not qualified for their position, which equates to poor leadership, unnecessary quarreling, drama, etc. - Poor leadership. High attrition rate in Executive level positions due to corrupt leaders and undervalued employees. - HR Team does not keep delicate info confidential; in fact, they can be heard gossiping with other executives/managers. The only info kept confidential is what could personally affect them. - Unorganized infrastructure = inappropriate decisions across the board = constant state of calamity for everyone. Very limited support from superiors. - Health benefits are very poor - don't cover much - and not worth about $400 for 1 person. - Too much work, not enough pay. Salaries are less than half of average. Also, full time workload is compacted into part time hours. - After the nationwide merge, it seemed as if Macy's tried to adapt Steven Covey-esque operations and interpersonal communications. However, the people that need to learn this don't understand because they are under-qualified for their positions.
