Pros

- Opportunity to truly build a business; make a significant impact not only on clients/candidates but also in the overall direction of the firm as we continue to grow. - Collaborative, supportive team environment. Working with people who care as much as I do. - Feel that my opinion counts, my voice is heard. - Continuously learning from exceptionally talented people. - Set up for success. Have autonomy, while also having the support of those around me. - Lacking silos of larger firms across practice areas and also senority. - Bar to hire is high, preserving the culture, ethics, values and work quality. - Different types of people can be successful here in their own way. There isn't a "cookie cutter" version of any role or personality. Truly diverse team.

Cons

I truly love MH, and don't want this "cons" box to come across as a cliche "weaknesses" response. My overall thought would be that this environment is absolutely great for some, but honestly not for all. It depends on the person, their skill set, ambition and mentality. - A challenging environment if you're used to a narrow role, or if you're the type of person who waits to be told what to do. Not all recruiters have the skill set or desire to play a part in all areas of a search, from candidate ID to relationship management to client presentations to truly consulting to BD. Of course people have strengths and weaknesses along that life cycle, and aren't expected to hit the ground running in all capacities There is a difference, though, of having a long-term mentality, working on one's own skill set, and feeling a personal pride in the brand in every interaction. I have seen that people from big firms used to their "lane" have a hard time transitioning, and people from transactional firms have a hard time transitioning to being true client/candidate partners. The environment is quite unique and entrepreneurial. The firm has improved on our own internal interviewing (including hiring an internal recruiter for recruiters), which has made a significant impact on ensuring we bring on board the right people.

Pros

Working for the MH team has been one of the best decisions I've made professionally. This is a place where leadership and peers care about the development of each individual within the organization and strive for the best of them. This is a place where someone can truly grow if they desire to put in the effort and I wouldn't change it for the world. Management is top tier and this is a place where culture and values are lived to the fullest.

Cons

None to speak of, truly find this to be a great place to work.

Great people with ample opportunities to learn

Cons

salaries are not at market value unless you're a partner no standard percentage pay increase no increases based on inflation If concerns are addressed, they make it your job to change them adding additional work to your plate with no guarantee of pay poor managerial experiences that could potential put employees at risk
