Pros
As everyone has already said: the people who make up the lower ranks are incredible. Here are a bunch of recent college graduates who are still naive enough to think they can make a nothing into a something, and some do amazing things before they become disillusioned and move on. Nowhere else can unseasoned staff have as much of an impact, and I had truly appreciated that during my time there.
Cons
Management, regardless of age, often acts similarly to the much younger staff and boundaries are nonexistent. 45 year old men giggle on Buzzfeed instead of working and team leaders suggest team sleepovers. This is the perfect environment for people who have missed out on campus life and are trying to recreate it, which is incredibly pathetic for adults in their 40's and 50's. This is not a "start-up." This is a traditional line of business approached from a luxury angle. Inexperienced employees, lax alcohol policies, and bad hours do not make this a start-up. There is no disrupting and no extreme growth. It's an innovative audio business quickly losing innovation status.
