Pros

This company ruined my mental health Bullying is standard practice and there is a big lack of support , underhanded lying managers who already decided to get rid of people the day they come out of training and tell the whole team about how they will get rid of them! If you push back on bad practices and immoral ways you out yourself at risk of being fired for not fitting in This company violates the NMC code of practice in ever sense of the way. The recruiter i spoke too lied through there teeth and promised this world of opportunity and flexibility and hybrid working and make out its this wonderful place when really once your in its like passing through 7 circles promotions are non existent unless your friends with a manager then it's guaranteed even if they don't have the skill or qualities. The culture is terrible I ended up taking anti depressants and seeing professional help as this company destroyed every sense of myself and my well being targets are unrealistic and all I can say is I went back to the NHS and I've never been happier!

Cons

Everything about the place is awful

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
