Pros
Offers opportunities in many areas of business and geographic locations due to size of business. There are some very good people working at Merck and you can get the opportunity to work on some exciting products and fast growing businesses
Cons
There is a lack of clear vision or strategy from leadership, and the mission within the individual divisions is not well articulated This leads to some confusion and uncertainty in the organization and definitely adds to stress. Merck is struggling to combine two cultures (Merck & Schering-Plough) into one.
