Working at MetLife will give you the knowledge that as long as you work hard, you will always have a job to go to. Through all the job and market fluctuations, MetLife has always done the best at holding steady wtih integrity. MetLife is also very good at keeping current with worker trends, the virtual employee is their next direction where employees can work from home.
Cons
It's not what you know.... Even though we are given the opportunities to grow and develope, the management sometimes overlooks the harder worker in favor of the more "flashy" worker. Given that the best opportunities are scarce, there is great competition for the better jobs. However there are plenty of lateral moves if you are not happy where you are at.
