Cons
Metronet bought the company I worked for since 2023 which was Vexus Fiber. Until metronet bought us i truly loved my job but that all changed when metronet took over. They made all these promises that everyone was safe with their jobs but the moment the ink was dry on their paperwork they began laying off so many Vexus employees without any notification. My department was originally known as retail sales representative and my job consisted of helping customers either in the office or over the phone with whatever their needs were. Metronet took away our office phone lines and made it to where any calls that came in went straight the the call center. A big part of my income was not just my hourly pay but also my monthly commission. Within the first month of metronet buying us they took away our commission which was a big part of my income and then also made sure there was absolutely no overtime as well. Once that happened I began to loose out on 1000.00 dollars a month. Metronet micromanaged everything that was done to the point they wanted to know when you used the bathroom and when you returned from it. Metronet turned my position into a call center queue all the while still having to handle my other job duties and taking walkins but would come after us if we didn't answer enough phone calls during the day. Metronet does not care about our customers or if the work gets done for services that our customers need. Metronet took away the option for my position to help customers and would not allow us to schedule orders for customer assistance and we were told to give them tech support number and send them on their way. Metronet does treat anyone like they are people except the metronet employees that are already with the company. Metronet also messed up on transition pay when they took over and are demanding the vexus employees to give them an entire week pay back because of their mistakes. Metronet wastes money and time and customer service is not their concern. No one in IT support knows anything. Everytime i have had to reach out for help they always came back with the response of im not sure how to do that and then instead of redirecting me to someone who could it would just go left undone. The managers at metronet don't listen to any concerns that are brought to their attention and tell us that they don't see the problem or tell us to talk to our supervisor. But that didn't work because my supervisor tried to bring our issues to them as well and their response was well this is the metronet way. There is so much more but that's covers it enough.
