Pros

Gas Card, company van, tools provided, free-ish service if you live within the market. Not much else to say, but needed 20 words...

Cons

The company doesn't seem to concerned about their employees. It's all about the bottom line. How much money they can make. They purchase cheap equipment and leave it up to the techs to deal with the mess as a result. The pay is not that great for the time and amount of work you get put on you each day. They start out new techs at $15-16 per hour, but techs who have been here for a while make less than that! Not right! They find every possible excuse to cut your yearly raise down to almost nothing. I use to like coming to work every day. I still like the work, just not the company. They have screwed their techs over multiple times, and it shows. You know it's bad when a whole market up and quits. Changing our schedules from a 5 day work week 8 hours a day, to 4 days 10 hours. Leaves no time at the end of the day to go to children's events or spend any kind of quality time with family. In closing, the service they provide is great, but you will feel like a slave working for this company. And they don't care about you!

Pros

Company van, tools, and gas card

Cons

Where do I start? Metronet is a horrible company to work for. When I first started it was a good company. I looked forward going to work but now, I'm glad I quit! Pay is not even the national average. They don't care about their employees. Right now they are making their technicians work a mandatory 60 hours in another market. They are not paying for drive time from their house to the customers house that could be 2 hours away. The ladies in dispatch do what they can, but they get overwhelmed by the technicians, TTU, and business processing. If there are only 2 technicians left in Lafayette with contractors quitting left and right as well, that means something is wrong! Management has no clue! They are all concerned about making the all mighty dollar and not reinvesting in their employees. There's little or no room for anyone to move up in the company unless you know someone in management in Evansville. I truly believe lower management in certain cities care for their employees. The supervisors try and fight for raises but unless you can master their "Metric System," then there's no way of getting a raise. The daily quota is always set above 100% and they have a failed ETA system. Okay, my rant it over. All in all, do NOT work for this company!!!!!

Pros

Absolutely loved it their during my extended stay. I spent many years of my life there and would do it over again with a few minor changes... Most people are a joy to work with, others not so much. The job I had was rewarding, fulfilling, and challenging, just perfect. I wish I had it back, i really do. Benefits were grreeeaaaattttt, health, vision, 401k, the works. But let's continue to the Cons...

Cons

We wont discuss pay too much... but its the lower tier for everyone except management. HR was useless, unless you were management, if there was an issue nothing would go anywhere, she'd die on a vine. It was all about who you knew, managers hired in unqualified people because they were buddy/buddy or knew them from the old KDL/Norlight days. They want to grow, dont want to spend money where its needed, as certain department's run on a shoe string budget and are expect to turn butter into gold. Did I mention HR was just about useless? Side note, current management has/is running off all of the experienced talent. People leave bosses, not jobs, and these bosses (not leaders) are good at running people away.
