Pros

Decent pay and Benefits for Fresh Graduates. - Starting pay is on par with the industry. Will depend on your honours level i.e. First class would have the highest starting salary - Engineers can claim OT (x1.5 hourly rate for after working hours and off day, 2x for rest day and public holidays) - Fairly good medical benefits (Includes in house doctor, medical insurance, outpatient medical allowance)

Cons

On-boarding program and training is geared towards Manufacturing and process engineers. While it was good to have an manufacturing and process related knowledge, it did not add any value to my job scope. Facilities engineers get their training through OJT (on the job training) and OJT at micron was not very structured. Being a facilities engineer in around-the-clock fab means that you are at the lowest level of the food chain. You need to be standby 24/7 to respond to any emergencies.

Pros

Decent pay, great stock grants and stock purchase plan. You can be at the forefront of memory technology driving today's AI megaboom, and benefit from the high demand (i.e. soaring stock price).

Cons

Little sense of community, lifeless office environment, dead-eyed and overworked employees. "Flexible work arrangements" in name only, as recent policy changes have significantly reduced effectiveness especially if you have a long commute or family life. Too much emphasis on unimportant buzz such as embracing diversity and inclusion is just annoying, but par for the course in today's big tech industry.
