Pros
Probably the best reason to work here is the work life balance and the fact you do not take work home on weekends as the workload is rather light. In addition, if you stay for the long term the benefits will set you up for life. The fact that corporate positions use shift work fascinates me but in the end benefits the employee who wants a work life balance.
Cons
Management's operating style is do as you are told or be punished. There is no independent thought allowed here. There are rules and you must abide by them or be subject to disciplinary action. This goes for all areas including corporate functions. The rules are as if the company was operating 100 years ago. There is zero flexibility so if you have a family, I would consider elsewhere. The trust factor is non existence here as management can turn on you at the drop of a dime so be careful. Finally, gossip is everywhere and you can't get away from it even if you try.
